The Cumann na mBunscol football is starting quite early this year,and the boys and girls from Múinteoir Áine's room will be togging out on Tuesday 10th September when we play Barrnashrone NS at home. Having won comprehensively against Barrnashrone and Clough in the last two games we now look forward to playing Killanure NS tomorrow the 24th September.

Principal’s Welcome – Áine Mhic Áodha Bhuí
As Principal of Gaelscoil Thromaire I would like to welcome you all to our fantastic new school website.
Gaelscoil Thromaire is a Catholic Ethos School (Patron Bishop Denis Nulty, Bishop Kildare and Laughlin) based in Trumera in the Parish of Mountrath, Co. Laois.
We are a small school based in the heart of our community and we as a school community extend a warm welcome to all pupils and Parents/ Guardians.
We have a brand new school building opened in 2021 with every modern facility for the benefit of all in our school community.
Our school staff comprises of the following members:

Múinteor Áine - School Principal and Class Teacher for the Senior Classes 3rd to 6th.

Múinteoir Fiona - Deputy Principal and Class Teacher for the Junior Classes - Infants to 2nd .

Múinteoir Colm - SET. Special Education Teacher based in our school

Ríona - Our Special Needs Assistant (SNA) for the school.

Ciara - Our School Secretary.
In Gaelscoil Thromaire we place huge emphasis on each pupil’s individual identity, their self-worth and the development of each pupil’s unique talents. This emphasis on the full development of each pupil is central to all facets of school life in Gaelscoil Thromaire.
As a Gaelscoil we place emphasis always on the spoken word in Irish but we also promote all aspects of Irish Culture throughout the school.
As part of school life pupils will have the opportunity to partake in aspects of our Gaelic Culture through Irish Dancing, Irish Music, Gaelic Games (Hurling, Football, Camogie, and Girls Football), Drama and various cultural events.
